The Muonionalusta meteorites come from northern Sweden. Classified as Ironmeteorites, Class IVA, fine octahedrites. Generally their Widmanstätten pattern is among the most beautiful etch pattern of all ironmeteorites.

All Muonionalusta meteorite slices and endcuts are coated with a protective oil to prevent oxidation which can be removed entirely by using e.g. acetone or thinner. Please note that according to the angle of light the Widmannstätten – pattern of a meteorite may appear differently.
